Paper maché vessels, ongoing series
What if making had nothing to do with satisfying the market? These vessels begin from that question: a society where modernity means making use of what is around you, and art is not something to be judged, sold, or approved. I didn’t buy clay. I used egg cartons and what was already to hand, and let the material and its limits shape each piece. Cracks, seams, and layers stay in as the record of how it was made.
Every piece is imagined as part of a life, and the works ask what stays constant in human making across deep time.
